Solidarity is a fundamental value that should guide every professional committed to making a positive impact on society. The Temporary Housing Pavilion for Healthcare Workers embodies this principle through its compassionate and practical design, created by Revolution as a non-profit emergency architecture initiative. This project was conceived to provide Mexican Red Cross staff with a safe, comfortable, and private space to rest and refresh within their workplace during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—eliminating the need to return home and risk exposing their families to the virus.

The pavilion consists of twelve independent modules, each measuring approximately 7 square meters. Constructed from certified sustainable wood and innovative poly-aluminium foil—sourced from over a million post-consumer recycled carton packs—these modules demonstrate an environmentally responsible approach to emergency housing. The interior walls are coated with hospital-grade antibacterial acrylic paint, ensuring hygienic conditions critical for healthcare environments.

Designed to withstand diverse and challenging outdoor climates, the pavilion is robust and durable, providing reliable shelter wherever it is deployed. Its modular nature allows for rapid assembly and disassembly, enabling flexible deployment and reuse in future emergency situations. This adaptability not only maximizes resource efficiency but also ensures that the pavilion can continue to serve frontline workers wherever the need arises.

Through this project, Revolution highlights the power of architecture to respond swiftly and effectively to crises—delivering dignity, safety, and comfort to those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
